AlbanyCanCode is excited to announce its expansion into the Hudson Valley with the launch of KingstonCanCode.

Since 2016 AlbanyCanCode has been providing workforce training in software development for adults and k-12 classes for children in the Capital Region. The Hudson Valley shares many characteristics with the Capital Region, including tech businesses struggling to hire and residents who have aptitude but have yet to explore a career in technology.

Kingston Front-End Web Development Course

In partnership with SUNY Ulster Community College, this 12-week course in Front-End Web Development is structured around tutorials, assignments, and individual and group projects to give students hands-on practice building the pieces of code that determine how an online experience feels, and connect the user experience into the data-crunching processes of the back end.  Through lecture and individual assignments, students will establish solid foundations in key tools of front end developers: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript/jQuery, and collaborative workplace/version control tool Github.

Offered 100% virtually, this course will met Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:45pm-8:45pm beginning September 15th, 2020. The cost of the course is $1,750 and tuition assistance is available to those who qualify. To ensure that all of our students have the means to complete our course, lender laptops are available.
